Registration is now open for the 2017 MIXED Art Conference on June 3rd, 2017, in Toronto, Canada! The event takes place at the YMCA Central Toronto, located at 20 Grosvenor St, from 8:30am-4:30pm.
The 2017 conference theme is “Activism: Within and Without the Family”, featuring keynote speaker Sharon H Chang, author of “Raising Mixed Race“.
Topics of discussion include:
- Mixed-Race & Pop Culture / Current Events
- Mixed-Race & Intergenerational Trauma / Strength / Decolonization
- Mixed-Race & The Sexist Status System
- Mixed-Race & Activism / Burnout
- Mixed-Race & Wild Card (popcorn style discussion group about subjects of interest)
The venue is wheelchair accessible and there will be an all gender washroom available. Tickets are Pay What You Can and nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds.
