Samantha is a family physician practicing in southwestern Ontario since 2015 in Indigenous Health. She brings her unique experience as a mixed race Indigenous-German-French woman to her medical practice through a wholistic approach to her patients. Every patient is given the time to share their experiences in a physical, emotional, spiritual and mental aspect as they understand it. She then uses both her knowledge of allopathic and Indigenous medicine to support and encourage the patient down a path of healing and wellness. She has a yoga practice that spans more than 10 years and is able to guide her patients into their own practice. She also brings with her the gift of intuition and her calming energy to each patient encounter. She strives to maintain her own personal wellness because she believes it is contagious. She is committed to providing medical education to future physicians regarding the impact of racism, ignorance and complacency on the health outcomes of Indigenous people in her role as faculty member at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University. You can often find her in Wortley Village in London Ontario, walking with her young daughter or enjoying coffee and conversation with friends.
